To the east of the municipality, on the hill of Sant Andréu, is the Iberian town of Ullastret, one of the largest and most important Iberian deposits in the Mediterranean, together with that of Olèrdola. It was inhabited from the 6th century BC until the beginning of the 2nd century BC, when it was abandoned with the arrival of the Romans; although remains of prehistoric times have also been found. The wall (called oppida), the necropolis and various human settlements are preserved. The Ullastret site is part of the Route of the Iberians.
